Thank you, for creating the most influential part of my life. My parents are extremely judgemental, religious, and stubborn and they can’t see past the things like: Homosexuality, AIDS, HIV, Drugs; to understand the message. To realize that it’s about Measuring your life in LOVE, That its NO DAY BUT TODAY, they don’t understand to Give into Love or life in FEAR. I believe that as a Renthead who is only just now 14, that people believe I don’t understand the meaning and emotional deepth of Rent. When in reality I do understand, maybe more then some adults. I would love to be able to thank you in person, to tell you how much Rent has changed my life and made me a better person but, I can’t and maybe that’s what makes the message of Rent so much more important. Today I wore a shirt to my school, that said Thank You, Jonathan Larson on it. I excepted the looks on people’s faces as U explained why I wore it. Why Rent lyrics were all over my shirt and my left hand. Thank you, Jonathan Larson for creating the thing that has changed my life.
